A Picaraña
The Picaraña mountain, over 300 metres above sea level, between the municipalities of Ponteareas and Mondariz.
In medieval times its summit held a small fortress linked to the figure of Pedro Madruga, and the chapel of Santa Cruz, built in 1907, still stands there. It has a recreational area among pine trees, a Via Crucis and viewpoints with excellent views over the Tea valley. Every 1 May a large pilgrimage is held on the mountain, the Día da Picaraña.
