ZEC Baixo Miño

A Natura 2000 protected area (Special Conservation Zone) running along the border stretch of the river Miño with Portugal.

The ZEC protects the valuable fluvial and riparian ecosystems of the Lower Miño, with great richness of habitats, flora and fauna, especially aquatic birds and fish species such as the lamprey.
