Mondariz Spa

One of Spain's most famous and prestigious spas, in the municipality of Mondariz-Balneario.

Its history begins in 1873, when its spring waters were declared of public utility by the Peinador brothers. The Grand Hotel, opened in 1898 and decorated in the French style, was known as 'The Galician Escorial'. After the hotel fire in 1973 it was rehabilitated and reopened in 2005.
