A walled enclosure of nearly 9,700 square metres on the banks of the Miño, in the town of Salvaterra de Miño, opposite the Portuguese town of Monção.

Of medieval origin (12th century), it was rebuilt with a defensive purpose in the 17th century. Declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1949 and restored in 2008, it retains the Oliveira chapel, the church of San Lourenzo and the Caves of Doña Urraca, which have housed the Wine Science Museum since 2018.
