ENIL Barciademera
A Local Nature Area (ENIL) of the oak groves along the river Alén, in the parish of Barcia de Mera, in Covelo.
It is a river area featuring two main habitats: alder riparian woodland and a thermophilic oak grove dominated by oak and laurel, with areas integrated into the Natura 2000 network. The regional government has begun the process of declaring it an ENIL, drawn up by the council, in order to preserve its natural values and ensure its proper management and conservation.
