Fonte da Gándara

Imaxe por defecto

A medicinal spring in Mondariz-Balneario, beneath an elegant classical-style pavilion by the architect Antonio Palacios, dating from 1908. Discovered by Enrique Peinador, the Fonte da Gándara is at the origin of the spa town's golden age.

Its carbonated, calcium bicarbonate and ferruginous waters are indicated for metabolic, locomotor, respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. It is one of the most prominent heritage and identity elements of Mondariz-Balneario, linked to the spa culture of the Belle Époque.
