Fonte de Troncoso
The first medicinal spring discovered in Mondariz, found around 1862 by the priest Domingo Blanco Lage on the banks of the river Tea.
Its waters, recognised in the 19th century for their medicinal properties, drove the creation of the famous spa that gave the town its name and international renown; in 1873, together with the Gándara spring, they were declared of public utility. The building housing it was designed by the architect Antonio Palacios.
