Pilgrimage of Santa Marta de Ribarteme

Popularly known as the «Pilgrimage of the Coffins». Its uniqueness lies in the fact that, after the solemn mass, some devotees who have survived severe illness or grave danger are carried in procession inside open coffins by their relatives to give thanks or pray for a miracle, while others walk covered in shrouds. The statue of Saint Martha, with her right hand raised in protection, is accompanied by Saint Benedict and the Virgin of Carmen, reflecting an ancient expression of faith and mortality.
