Corpus Christi

The central streets awaken carpeted with spectacular floral tapestries over which the Blessed Sacrament procession passes. This tradition, documented since 1857, endures thanks to the dedication of the residents, who work throughout the preceding night crafting the carpets with petals, leaves, and seeds. Over a kilometer of vibrant and beautiful floral art lines the streets, magnifying the splendor of the parade, which is also accompanied by a shower of petals thrown from balconies.
