Tripe Stew Festival
Gastronomic festival celebrated in Salceda de Caselas since 1993, held on the first Sunday of September at the Town Hall Square.
It is a highly consolidated event that attracts over 20,000 visitors from across Galicia and northern Portugal to taste this traditional tripe stew ('callos'), prepared with the help of over fifty local volunteers. The festival is linked to the living tradition of enjoying tripe tapas in local taverns on Wednesdays, which is the local market day. The gastronomic celebration is complemented by a weekend of cultural events, including the Serán dos Callos music night and a street band competition.
