Ham Fair Festival

The main day, in the Carballeira do Cacharado, features a tasting of ham portions served with bread and wine, alongside a ham-carving competition. The ham parade departs from the Town Hall towards the oak grove, accompanied by the centennial giant-heads of A Caniza and folk groups. The fairgrounds are styled with thatched huts reminiscent of ancient stalls, complemented by traditional oxcart parades. It is the town's premier gastronomic event, deeply linked to its cured meat heritage.
