Sparkling Wine Festival
Festival celebrated in Salvaterra de Mino during the first weekend of December, when sparkling wines complete their secondary fermentation after two years of production.
It was the first festival dedicated to sparkling wine in Galicia, earning Salvaterra the title of «Sparkling Wine Capital of the Rías Baixas». The local council places great emphasis on the event to promote the viticultural sector of the Condado region. Activities include introductory courses to sparkling wines and professional tastings led by Luis Paadín. Local wineries and the municipality join forces to give this meticulous winemaking style international projection.
